Hawaiian Hula Dance Course
Have you ever dreamed of watching an enchanting hula performance as the sun sinks back into the horizon and a cool breeze reaches you from the sea?
The Hawaii Zouk Festival is offering you a unique Hula Experience program. Participate in the Hula Performance Choreo Team, both men and women will have the opportunity to learn, rehearse and perform your Hula at the beach with your favorite Zouk friends and Celeste Mosqueda, one of Hawaii’s Top Hula Dancers!
Hula is one of the most ancient and significant expressions of Hawaiian culture. Hula embodies the nature of myth and storytelling through movement. The exact origins of Hula cannot be known as the tradition has been passed on orally and in practice for much of its existence. The Ancient Hawaiians connected their dance expression with the divinities they believed in and communicated with. The dance was a way of reaching and responding to the gods and goddesses who were embodiments of nature and figures in the native Hawaiian culture.
We will have a professional Hula instructor and choreographer for you to learn from over the weekend workshops.
We will also be video recording the performance and as the sun will be setting soon after that.
Can you imagine the million dollar shot natural light effects!? -Oh yeah!
Workshop and cost and performance details will be announced soon.
